What should you know before your root canal procedure?
Before your treatment, please read the following instructions.
- Normal Eating: Ensure to have a full breakfast or lunch before your endodontic appointment.
- Medication: Please continue all medications for blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid problems and any other conditions as recommended by your physician. Contact our office at 619-579-0316 with any questions before your appointment.
- Antibiotic Premedication: For patients who require antibiotic premedication due to conditions such as MVP, heart murmur, or prosthesis, make sure to take the appropriate antibiotics on the day of your appointment. For any questions, call our office at 619- 579-0316.
- Pain During Procedure: Local anesthesia will be used during the endodontic procedure.
- Driving and Activities:
There are usually no restrictions after the procedure: Normal activities, like driving and working, can resume after treatment. If needed, Dr. Sarshar is accessible for post-treatment consultations.
